What To Do With That Leftover Pizza

Written by admin on Thursday, April 24th, 2008 in Food.

Here’s the scenario. You live in southern Ontario and ordered Toronto pizza last night and yes, you weren’t sure what size to get so you probably ordered too much. Let’s face it. You WERE hungry and besides, it wasn’t just about you. Mom and the three kids were all set to dive into it too.

Ok, it’s the morning after and you’ve come downstairs to the kitchen only to find said pizza box is still on the counter (it’s a miracle the dog didn’t make a go at it!). You open it up to find you still have enough there to feed a family of six.

What to do? Yes, of course you can eat it cold for breakfast but c’mon, let’s be more creative than that. Here are some simple suggestions:

1. Take two slices, fold them in so that the toppings are facing each other and stick them under the door to use as a door stop.

2. Begin teaching your 3 yr old about important shapes like triangles and rectangles. You can even begin the night before by starting their journey of learning with circles.

3. Is that fly on the wall driving you crazy? No newspaper within reach? No problem – just fold two slices (see suggestion #1) towards each other, grab firmly and apply suitable force (not overdoing it) on said fly. Done.

4. More than just a few slices left? Went “a little” overboard? Not to worry. You’ve been meaning to do that oil change on your car yourself and you suddenly have twenty-five pounds of dough and toppings at your disposal to act as a wheel chock.

These techniques that help to perpetuate your pizza experience can be employed using Newmarket pizza, Scarborough pizza or any other pizza for that matter. Just keep these handy tips on hand the next time you’re faced with leftover pizza that refuses to go away!

I am making not too big cake at home

Written by admin on Thursday, December 20th, 2007 in Food.

The Christmas is just knocking at the door. Nothing I’m going to work as my Christmas preparation. It is the time to correct your finishing touch of your Christmas decoration.  You have to place the Christmas cake order to the confectionery owner. He has responded to my phone call. And I am going to shopping in the meantime. Some of my friend made it at home in the name of Saint Mary. This is the 2nd year of our marriage. Last year my husband was not at home and time of Christmas day was unhappy.

This time, I am making not too big cake at home. I have to use more health foods for my family. In Christmas time and we’re doing this for other relatives also. It is time to celebrate New Year also. Nearly a dozen of cakes will be made at home. They are not made for the business purpose so we try to care about the health factors.  In Christmas cake you have less time for packing it. The floor and milk that we use are fresh. In TV news I heard honey is batter than the sugar. As my husband is a diabetes patent, I like to make sugar free cake in this Christmas. There are some friends who love to eat rich chocolaty cake. So,  I need to order some delicious cakes also.
